5 mistakes that drive clients away

Your website gets traffic but nobody reaches out? The problem is likely one of these 5 mistakes. We see them every single day on local business websites.

Mistake #1: No clear value proposition

A visitor lands on your site. Within 3 seconds, they need to understand what you do and why they should choose you.

Bad: "Welcome to our website"
Good: "Luxury villa rentals in St Barth. Ocean views guaranteed."

Mistake #2: No visible way to get in touch

The visitor is convinced. They want to contact you. They look around... keep looking... can't find how. They leave.

Your phone number or WhatsApp button should be visible at all times. On every page. No exceptions.

Mistake #3: Not mobile-friendly

The majority of your visitors are on mobile. If your site is unreadable on a phone, you're losing most of your potential clients.

Pull up your website on your phone. Right now. If it's hard to use, that's an urgent problem.

Mistake #4: Too much text

Nobody reads walls of text online. Visitors scan. They're looking for the key information, fast.

Short sentences. Bullet points. Clear headings. White space. That's what a high-converting site looks like.

Mistake #5: No social proof

Why should I trust you? Where are your client reviews? Your past work? Your references?

Testimonials, client logos, key figures... Anything that proves others have trusted you reassures your prospects.

The 5-second test

Show your website to someone for 5 seconds. Then hide it. Ask them:
• What does this business do?
• How can I contact them?
• Why should I choose them?

If they can't answer, your website has a problem.
